A training program on improving the quality and experience of care during labor, birth and in the vulnerable hours afterward. This module is endorsed by ACNM, ICM, FIGO.
Essential Care for Labor & Birth (ECL&B) is a new learning module from the Helping Mothers Survive series. The training helps health workers improve their competencies to identify and manage complications that may arise during labor, birth and the immediate postpartum period.
The HMS ECL&B curriculum includes:
A simple, pictorial, step-by-step wall chart to identify and manage complications that may arise during labor and birth.
An educational tool to assist and guide instructors to train healthcare providers in prevention, detection and management of bleeding after birth and shock.
An educational guide and quality improvement tool for healthcare providers to prevent, detect and manage bleeding after birth and shock to be used in preparation for, during and after course completion.
