Simulation Training Brings Change
In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, World Health Organization, UNICEF, and national professional organizations, we worked to integrate simulation-based training into the national curricula, establish simulation labs, and train faculty in simulation methodology.
We’ve been seeing change. Student and faculty skills performance has more than doubled. More than 50 new midwives have graduated, and 300 midwifery students have been trained to deliver safe births, and when birth complications arise, midwives save lives. Midwives like Bedika. Watch her inspiring story.
